are your observations/reactions about the historiographic and
ideological perspectives of these presentations? About their respective
production values? About their intellectual and emotional impacts?

They both portray the affects and aftermaths of wars and battles. If we looked at footage from WWI or WWII from either side, we would see similar things. A basis simply on the hardships of the peoples does not give us a better image of the issue in terms of resolving it. Both sides of battles have losers.
